Please Call Stella, (2007)

140 voices from around the globe all speak the same absurd message, this work for solo clarinet, multi-tracked saxophone quartet and speech accent archive was commissioned by George Mason University, USA through the Arts Council of Ireland. The work explores the systematic musicality of the global English speech accent through a humorous arrangement of phonemes, saxophones, ‘small plastic snakes’ and ‘slabs of blue cheese’.

Performances have included The Sligo Contemporary Music Festival, Sligo Jazz Project, Locus group show, Centre of Contemporary Art, Torun, Poland (2013).
